Aromasin Tablet is a type of medicine called an aromatase inhibitor. It works by preventing the action of the Aromasin Tablet enzyme. This enzyme helps in producing the estrogen hormone in postmenopausal women. Most breast cancers require estrogen to grow (estrogen receptor-positive cancers). Controlling the production of this hormone helps stop the breast cancer cells from growing.

Aromasin Tablets are usually taken once daily, preferably after a meal and at the same time each day. The dose and duration of treatment depend on the condition and response to the treatment. In most cases, the treatment with Aromasin Tablet may be suggested for 2 or 3 years. However, in some cases, the doctor may also recommend taking it for a longer time.
